Born in Tehran in 1967, Rene Efi Hakimian’s life has been shaped by the Iranian Revolution, personal loss, and an enduring passion for art. After moving to New York, Rene pursued studies in Art and Geography, later developing a distinctive style influenced by his Middle Eastern roots and Jewish heritage. Despite the loss of over one hundred paintings in 1997, Rene’s dedication to his craft never wavered. His work, deeply introspective, reflects his internal dialogue and draws inspiration from iconic artists like Picasso, Van Gogh, and Matisse. Today, Rene’s art, with its vibrant colors and intricate patterns, stands as a testament to his belief in the eternal nature of creativity.
